Academy of Entrepreneurship (AKEP) is a non-for-profit organization established in 2007 under the auspices of the Educational Association of Athens "HFAISTOS". It acts in collaboration with the Federation of Hellenic Associations of Young Entrepreneurs aiming to contribute to the creation of a healthy business environment for the development of entrepreneurship in Europe as well as the proper conditions for entrepreneurship to support young entrepreneurs with their business goals and plans in the long run. AKEP has a strong background in the design and delivery of specialised entrepreneurship workshops, both face-to-face and online, in required skills aiming to support young entrepreneurs to start-up, grow and expand their business in national, European and international markets. Further, it offers mentoring to young entrepreneurs in a process which supports and encourages them to grow and sustain their business. Since 2007, it has offered several workshops to many young or to be entrepreneurs from all around Greece. AKEP is National Partner of the Global Entrepreneurship Week in Greece. Vilnius Gediminas Technical University is one of the biggest universities in Lithuania and the only technical higher education institution in the capital city of Vilnius. The total number of students in the academic year 2012/2013 is over 12 000. In 2006 the university celebrated its 50th anniversary.

More numbers of interest to introduce VGTU are the following:

• Over 40 programmes for Bachelor’s degree (4 years) with 10 456 students and up to 40 programmes for Master’s degree (1,5 or 2 years) with 2 360 students;
• About 15 programmes for Doctor’s degree (3-4 years) with 256 students in the areas of technical, natural, social sciences and humanities;
• Researchers and academic staff total in 1005 persons (female staff - 35 %), including 148 professors, 460 associate professors, and 397 lecturers and assistants. Professor-student ratio is 1:14.

During its existence the university has developed its high potential in the areas of Informatics, Technomathematics, Bioengineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering (Building Structures and Construction, Highways, Geodesy, Thermal Engineering), Architecture, Computer Engineering, Business Management and Real Estate Management.

The advantage of Vilnius Gediminas Technical University that distinguishes the university among other Lithuanian institutions is the wide offer of the courses in English, i.e. full programmes - 9 undergraduate and 6 postgraduate ones. The university is striving to expand cooperation in international study programmes leading to joint degrees. Both the national and international students can choose among the international academic programmes, therefore, this kind of openness ensures a great number of exchange. The estimate confirms up to 600 outgoing students and 579 exchange and degree international students. Lifelong Learning Programme/ERASMUS cooperation encompasses partner - universities in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Poland, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom (over 300 bilateral agreements in total). Over 100 general institutional agreements of cooperation spread over the EU, Eastern Europe, Asia and the USA.
